Last night I was awarded (as voted by my peers) the Rising Star award from the Connect Now Business Network. I’ve been a member of the group for a year now and this award goes to a member who’s shown exceptional professional and personal growth this past year.
I’m so honoured that people have recognized all my hard work. Balancing my toddlers, my first year of business, and some semblance of a personal life was rough and times, and still is.
Every person I’ve met in this association has inspired and encouraged me to get where I am today. Connect Now is not like other networking groups. We value relationships and getting to know each other as people. It’s all about building relationships, earning trust, and not about being pushy by pushing our products and services on “strangers.”
It wasn’t until last night that I realized how many people I knew in this group. I’m proud to call each of you colleagues and my friends. I look forward to helping each other grow in our personal and professional lives in 2019.
