I sometimes find that when I tell people I’m a writer, they ask “Oh that’s cool, what’s the name of your book?”
Until now, I had to say that I hadn’t published a book before and that I do a “different” kind of writing.
Now, I’m excited to announce that my first co-authored book, Out of My Comfort Zone is being released on August 12, 2019!
In it, myself and 9 other women share stories and lessons learned from stepping outside of our comfort zone in our life or business. Mine is a little of both.
What’s my story?
Did you know that I once resolved myself to the fact that I would be a stay-at-home-mom forever? Yep! After having my second child, I didn’t want the challenge of trying to juggle the demands of a 9-5 job and the even bigger demands of rising 2 toddlers on next to no sleep.
So I chose what I thought was the easier path: to become a stay-at-home mom!
“I had bought into the “Stay-at-Home-Mom” Kool-Aid…and I chugged!!! For eight months, I did everything for my family and kids, often on three hours of broken sleep (at best). I never went out with friends. I never went to the spa. I never exercised. I never left the house…I needed to take control of my life again, to rediscover my spark and seize opportunities that would make my uncomfortable life comfortable again.”
My contribution to the book is my story about how I made my uncomfortable life, comfortable again!
